1: BCP Earth Day 2006 Project Chair Jerry Kremer returns some of the 4,600 grocery bags to Weis and Martin’s grocery stores. The two Martinsburg food markets generously provided the bags used by the schoolchildren in this year’s projects.
2: Eric Kerns, Administrator of faith Christian Academy, receives a check for $100 from BCP Earth Day 2006 Project Chair Jerry Kremer for their participation. The money will be used at the schools discretion for supplementation of curriculum or supplies.
3: BCP Earth Day 2006 Project Chair Jerry Kremer and BCP President Ron Gunderson present checks totaling $1400 to Jaimee Borger, Berkeley County Schools. The checks for $100 will be delivered to each of the participating Berkeley County public schools.
4: Jimmy Rowland of Weis Markets accepts some of the 1200 bags that Weis had provided for the schools children from BCP Earth Day 2006 Project Chair Jerry Kremer.
5: Weis Markets displays some of the wonderfully decorated grocery bags that Weis had provided for the schools children from BCP Earth Day 2006 Project. The messages the children conveyed included anti-litter themes, promotion of recycling, and pictures encouraging all to save our resources and respect Mother Earth.
6: BCP President Ron Gunderson thanks Kristi Ditlow, Martin’s Foods, for their participation in the Earth Day 2006 Project
